Telegram founder Pavel Durov was detained at Le Bourget airport in Paris, as reported by French media, including TF1.

According to the TV channel, the businessman was detained on the evening of Saturday, August 24, after his private jet arrived in Paris from Azerbaijan. The 39-year-old Durov was accompanied by his bodyguard and an unidentified woman.

TF1 reports that Durov was listed in France's wanted persons database (Fichier des Personnes Recherchées, FPR). The arrest warrant was issued by the French judicial police based on a preliminary investigation.

French authorities accuse Durov of complicity in drug trafficking, crimes against children, and fraud due to the lack of moderation on Telegram. It is claimed that the businessman has been taken into custody.
