Nvidia Unveils $300 GeForce RTX 5060 Graphics Card

On May 6, 2025, Nvidia introduced the budget-friendly GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card for $300. The release of the GeForce RTX 5060 is scheduled for May 19, and on the same day, gaming laptops with RTX 5060 will appear in retail chains.
Nvidia stated that the RTX 5060 supports all modern technologies, including multi-frame generator and DLSS 4, just like the higher-end RTX 50-series cards. Thanks to this, the RTX 5060 provides up to twice the performance compared to the previous generation RTX 4060 and even more compared to the GeForce GTX 1660 and GeForce RTX 2060.
Nvidia did not disclose detailed technical specifications for the GeForce RTX 5060. However, published internal tests show that the new card outperforms the GeForce RTX 3060 by up to six times when using multi-frame generation technology.
Specialized resources found out that the RTX 5060 uses the GB206 graphics processor with 3840 CUDA cores, which is 800 fewer than the RTX 5060 Ti. The video card will have 8 GB of GDDR7 memory with support for a 128-bit bus. The memory bandwidth is 448 GB/s. In the RTX 4060, the memory bandwidth is 288 GB/s.

Preliminary estimates for the GeForce RTX 5060 indicate a performance increase of 20–25% compared to the RTX 3060, without enabling multi-frame generation. Final results and performance metrics for the new card will be available after independent testing by reviewers.
