Apple has officially announced its latest generation of laptops, introducing the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models equipped with the powerful M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chips, promising significant boosts in AI performance and professional workflows.

MacBook Air with M5: AI-Ready and More Capable

The 13-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip starts at $1099, while the larger 15-inch model begins at $1299. Both models are available in four colors: Midnight, Starlight, Silver, and a new Blue.

According to Apple, the M5-powered MacBook Air delivers up to 4x better performance for AI tasks compared to the previous M4 model.

  • Storage & Memory: The base model now comes with 512GB of storage, with options up to 4TB. RAM configurations include 16GB, 24GB, or 32GB.
  • Display: Features a 13.6-inch or 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colors.
  • Camera & Audio: Equipped with a 12MP camera supporting Center Stage and Desk View, a three-mic array, and speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.
  • Connectivity: Includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports (with support for two external displays), a MagSafe charging port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.
  • Battery: Offers up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.

MacBook Pro with M5 Pro & M5 Max: A Leap in Performance

The professional lineup sees a major update, with the 14-inch M5 Pro model starting at $2199 and the 16-inch at $2699. For maximum power, the M5 Max models start at $3599.
