  • 9to5Google noticed the changes. The last time Google updated the logo was in 2015 — replacing the lowercase g with an uppercase G divided into four color segments: red, yellow, green, and blue.
  • Now the company has replaced the separate color sections with a gradient and slightly changed the shades.
  • Google has not officially announced the changes, so it is unknown whether the logos of the company's other products — such as the Chrome browser or Maps — will change.
  • For now, the icon with the updated G has only appeared in the latest version of the Google Search app for iOS, the publication points out.
