According to Apple, the new M4 iMac is up to 1.7 times faster in everyday tasks and up to 2.1 times faster in high-performance tasks compared to the M1 iMac. The display measures 24 inches, and models with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU offer an optional "nano-texture glass" to reduce glare.
The all-in-one computer features a new 12-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens, supporting a "Desk View" feature that allows simultaneous display of the user’s face and the area in front of them.
The new iMac includes four USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, allowing for connection of up to two external monitors with resolutions up to 6K. It supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Touch ID.
Alongside the iMac, Apple released macOS Sequoia 15.1, which includes AI features like an updated Siri, Writing Tools for English text, and AI notification summaries. Additionally, users can "use ChatGPT for free" without creating an account.
The iMac is available in seven colors: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. It comes with a matching keyboard and mouse with USB-C support.

The base model with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU now includes 16 GB of RAM, starting at $1,299. The version with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU starts at $1,499. Sales begin on November 8, 2024, with pre-orders open now.
