Google Added Interactive Visualization Feature to Gemini to Explain Complex Topics

Google has rolled out a new, free feature for Gemini that allows users to generate interactive 3D models and simulations directly from a text prompt.

Bring Your Data to Life

When you ask Gemini to visualize data, a physical experiment, or a natural phenomenon, the AI will create a hands-on simulation. This allows for a deeper understanding of complex concepts by directly engaging with the model.

For instance, in a simulation of the Moon orbiting the Earth, you can adjust sliders or manually input values for initial velocity and gravitational force to see the immediate impact.

Availability and Details

  • The new visualization capability is powered by the Gemini 1.5 Pro model. You can select it in the settings below the prompt input field.
  • This feature is completely free and is being gradually rolled out to users in all countries where Google AI services are supported.

This move follows a similar trend in the AI space. Back in March 2024, Anthropic also equipped its Claude AI to enhance its responses with interactive visualizations and charts.
